چکیده

For gas reservoirs that contain water, investigating characteristics of water–gas seepage is crucial to the formulation field development plans and predicting production capacity water breakthrough wells. purposes such an investigation, process invasion into a water-containing reservoir was studied based on four sandstone samples whose physical properties differed quite vastly (permeability: 0.112–192.251 mD; porosity: 8.33–20.60%). Gas–water relative permeability experiments were conducted gas-driven in conditions (temperature: 135 °C; pressure: 75 MPa). Starting with samples’ microstructural characteristics, particular attention paid impacts throat radius clay content characteristics. It found basic properties, microscopic mineral composition all affected The larger pore-throat radius, stronger ability allow fluid through under same saturation greater phases. Furthermore, wider lower content, gas–water permeability. Isotonic irreducible be negatively positively content. When have similar average times larger, its decreased by 1.63%, residual 1.00%, increases more than 400 times. Water intrusion showed significant impact flow low-permeability samples, it severely restricted phase.

Pseudo Steady State Gas Flow in Tight Reservoir under Dual Mechanism Flow

Gas reservoirs with low permeability (k<0.1 mD) are among the unconventional reservoirs and are commonly termed as "Tight Gas Reservoirs". In conventional gas reservoirs that have high permeability, the flow of gas is basically controlled by the reservoir permeability and it is calculated using the Darcy equation. In these reservoirs, gas flow due to gas diffusion is ignored compared to Dar...

Study on Stochastic Flow in Low Permeability Sandstone Oil Reservoir

Reservoir porous medium is random, in terms of oil and gas for low permeability reservoirs. Consider the random nature of the reservoir will enable to improve the accuracy of numerical reservoir simulation. Based on extensive research, for the stochastic nature of the reservoir from the two aspects of physical simulation, numerical simulation, the relevant international studies were reviewed. T...

Modeling Critical Flow through Choke for a Gas-condensate Reservoir Based on Drill Stem Test Data

Gas-condensate reservoirs contain hydrocarbon fluids with characteristics between oil and gas reservoirs and a high gas-liquid ratio. Due to the large gas-liquid ratio, wellhead choke calculations using the empirical equations such as Gilbert may contain considerable error. In this study, using drill stem test (DST) data of a gas-condensate reservoir, coefficients of Gilbert equation was modifi...

Enhanced Gas Recovery with Carbon Dioxide Sequestration in a Water-drive Gas Condensate Reservoir: a Case Study in a Real Gas Field

Gas reservoirs usually have high recovery due to high mobility and low residual gas saturation, although some of them producing under water-drive mechanism have low recovery efficiency. Encroachment of water into these reservoirs traps considerable amount of gas and increases the maximum residual gas saturation, which results in the reduction of gas and condensate production. Generally, the rec...
